This made McNeil fall because Hoskins slid right into McNeils ankles. McNeil immediately popped up and started yelling at Hoskins. McNeil and Hoskins kept on talking back and forth with each other so the benches cleared immediately, this went on for several minutes. The Mets challenged the call on the field to see if Hoskins had committed an illegal slide, but umpires came back and confirmed that Hoskins' takeout was clean.
