March Madness is one of the biggest college tournaments every year. March Madness is when 68 college basketball teams (Men's and Womens) compete to win the championship, it is from around the beginning of March to around the beginning of April.
This tournament was a tough fight for most of the teams in this tournament. The Final four teams were South Carolina versus NC State, and Uconn versus Iowa. The South Carolina crushes NC State with a score of 78-59. In the first, both teams scored 16 points. In the 2nd, NC State scored 15 and South Carolina scored 16. In the 3rd, South Carolina took a big lead on NC State by scoring 29 points, while NC State only scored 6 points! In the 4th, NC State sored 22 and South Carolina scored 17. Which ends the game with the NC State team and fans disappointed. The Iowa versus Uconn game was a tough match, with two future stars versing each other, Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers. This game ended in a score of 71-69 with Iowa winning to go to the final. In the 1st, UConn scored 19 and Iowa scored 14. In the 2nd, UConn scored 13 and Iowa scored 12. In the 3rd, UConn scored 19 and Iowa scored 25. Finally, in the 4th, UConn scored 18 and Iowa scored 20. Which ends the season for UConn. Now, it's the championship game, Iowa versus South Carolina. South Carolina takes the trophy home with a win over Iowa 87-75. In the 1st, Iowa scored 27 and South Carolina scored 20. In the 2nd, Iowa scored 19 and South Carolina scored 29. In the 3rd, Iowa scored 13 and South Carolina scored 19. In the 4th, Iowa scored 16 and South Carolina scored 19. Some players got some exciting news, this news was they are going to be attending the next WNBA draft. These players are Iowa's Caitlin Clark, LSU's Angel Reese, and South Carolina's Kamilla Cardoso, these are 3 players out of many that made it to the WNBA draft.
In the Final Four, it was UConn versus Alabama, and Purdue versus NC State. UConn was a fan favorite team basically this whole tournament. The UConn versus Alabama final score was 86-72, UConn. In the 1st, Alabama scored 40 and UConn scored 44. In the 2nd, Alabama scored 32 and UConn scored 42. The Purdue versus NC State game ended in a score of 63-50, Purdue. In the 1st, Purdue scored 35 and NC State scored 29. In the 2nd, Purdue scored 28 and NC State scored 21. Now, its the championship game, UConn versus Purdue. In the 1st, UConn scored 36 and Purdue scored 30. In the 2nd, UConn scored 39 and Purdue scored 30. This ended the game in a score of 75-60, UConn.
